.Photos easily outpaces three other domain names that reverted to regular pricing yesterday.
Four more new top level domain names from Donuts launched with regular pricing yesterday: .Photos, .Careers, .Shoes, and .Recipes.
.Photos led the others by a wide margin when it came to the initial hours of release. At the time the zone reports were published, .Photos had added 4,065 domain names to close at 4,509. Generally speaking, pre-registrations make up the bulk of adds in these “day one” zone files.
It’s important to note that zone files typically under report total registrations because they only include domain names with nameservers.
Donuts’ related domain name .photography now has over 25,000 registrations.
.Careers came in second place with 2,049 registrations to date. .Shoes has 1,527 and .Recipes just 999.
Three more of Donuts’ domain names are now in the Early Access Program phase: .cab, .limo, and .domains. Pre-orders for these three domains will be executed on March 12, which is the first day of regular pricing.
Hi, you are referring to “zone files”, which inform about how many domain names of each gtld are registered. Could you please explain where could we look to these “zone files”. It is interesting to see which gtlds are leading at the moment. Thanks
He won’t tell anyone, “big secret”
ICANN has a system for getting zone files, but it won’t be worth the hassle if all you want to do is check how many domains each TLD has. Some sites have already compiled that data for you, such as ntldstats.com
Amazing, thanks. That website is great. Do you know some other similar websites?
impressive, I just know .foto, this is very interesting for lovers of photography,
thanks for the information
