The Domain King talks domain names on the DNW Podcast.
This week’s guest is one of my most requested guests, “Domain King” Rick Schwartz. We discuss how Rick is investing in domain names today (you might be surprised), how he views the domain sales market in 2018, and why he believes it’s not too late to become a domain name investor.
Also: A very viral video, reverse domain name hijacking and Verisign’s latest patent.

Very good to hear from the Domain King; was waiting for Rick and Andrew to link up since Xmas 2017. Enjoyed the discussion. The coming recession will prove further that dot-Com remains king!
Nothing better than a guy that calls a spade a spade.
It’s always great hearing from rick. Thanks both of you for this interview.
The King! Great interview.
Whether you love or don’t love Rick, at least he stands by what he believes in with domains. I respect him for that.
Too many domainers flip flop back and forth between what they think/say is a good domain and what isn’t.
Great interview, cheers!
Andrew and Rick…after listening to your podcast and hearing about hand regging and perishable domains, I heard on the news that the last of the soccer team in Thailand was just “rescued” Either I heard some one say it was an “incredible” rescue, or I was so attached to the word “incredible” of late, (see thread: https://www.namepros.com/threads/incredible-domains.1089337/ ) that i just registered the names IncredibleRescue and IncredibleRescues .com. Andrew this is sort of like you registering TariffsareTaxes .com sort of on a whim.
While I’m still new to your industry, I believe I know a good name when I see one, and I would appreciate any help or advice you can provide for;
“Incredible Rescues”….thanks:)
This domain seems like it has very limited use. Who are the potential buyers? What are the odds that they’d want this name?
I also reg’d “Miracle Rescues” ,com….potential buyers might be major TV networks, cable TV networks, writers, developers, etc. Even investor visionaries who see the potential for a TV series featuring dramatic rescues may have an interest. Note, I went to reg IncredibleRescue.th, with “th” being the internet code for Thailand, and someone had already reg’d it.
Namebio shows 78 domains sold with the word “Miracle”, while just 20 with the word “Incredible”.
Regardless, everyone likes rescues whether they’re miracles or simply incredible:)
Great interview. Rick still gives the best advice in the domain industry. 🙂
That’s why he is the real king perfect I become a big fan of you / Sawping.com
