Newell Rubbermaid among end user domain name buyers.
The holiday week slowed sales at Sedo, with the company handling 501 transactions for about $1 million last week.
I had difficulty finding the usual number of end user sales, but there are some goods ones in here. Newell Rubbermaid got a steal on KnifeSkills.com, a machinery company bought the .com to match its .us, and Orange County’s bus system got OCBus.com.
Here’s the list:
ProvidentLoans.co.uk £750 – Provident Financial PLC, a UK lender.
NIHA.org $2,000 – the domain name is being used for Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center, but it’s in the name of an IT company.
KnifeSkills.com $1,815 – Newell Rubbermaid Inc, which has kitchen product lines.
Sarapis.com €1,000 – Sarapis BV., a heat shrink tubing that uses Sarapis.nl for its website.
GoodMeds.com $1,000 – Lakewood, Colorado company Good Meds shrunk its domain name from the longer GoodMedsNetwork.com.
MaverickMachinery.com $977 – Maverick Machinery, an Arizona machine services company that uses the matching .us domain name.
OCbus.com $8,000 – Orange Country Transportation Authority. You’ll likely see this on the side of buses in the OC soon.
Majeed.com $8,000 – Kamal Majeed, who also owns a business Majeed LLC.
MonarchDoors.com $1,625 – Monarch Door Company LLC in Pennsylvania. Its web address is monarchdoorcompany.com.
ROGX.com €1,449 – Rosetta Genomics, which provides cancer diagnostic services.
Novastem.com $19,999 – the domain name hasn’t transferred yet, but the buyer is likely Mexico stem cell company Novastem. It uses Novastem.mx.
QVectors.com $8,776 – the owner of QVectors.net bought this domain name and forwards it to the .net.
