Valuate.com quickly tells you which TLDs are registered.
In August I wrote about contacting owners of .net and .org domain names that you own the .com version of. It’s an easy way to find end users to buy your domain names. But my explanation of how to bulk check for domains you own with .net and .org taken was a bit involved.
So here’s a simpler solution: use Valuate.com. Today I plugged in about 50 domains I’m thinking about selling, and Valuate.com quickly came back with its results. The last three columns tell you if the .com, .net, and .org are registered:
As an added bonus, you’ll also get the other Valuate.com data including search results frequency, searches, traffic, advertiser competition, and average cost-per-click.
Not bad for a free service. Try it out to find end users that have registered other versions of your .com domain names. You might find a whale.

Great suggestion. I use Watch My Domains Pro to search other extensions.
Just type in the domain without the .com. Set extensions you want to check then it pulls up all whois info for each domain. (I am not affiliated with the company.)

Rob – I use Watch My Domains Pro, too. I had never thought of that.

Don’t forget about checking the .co.uk .com.au .de .jp .ch .es .ca to see if those are developed when you are selling to end users.
Also check the dashed version, the ing or ed version.
I can’t think of it now but I think DomainTools.com has a tool that finds all the related registered domains. If you find it, please post here.

You can quickly run checks at Moniker as well.

Valuate.com has given a lot of my .co.uk domains quite a handsome valuation. E.g:
Incentiveprograms.co.uk – $18,000
Zebatlas.co.uk – $15,000
AccountingPrograms.co.uk – $7,100
Viaje.co.uk – $16,000
Least to say, i’m impressed! A total of about $290,000 on my .co.uk portfolio. Now the headache of finding quality end user buyers!

I would like to know if the act of reaching out to relevant end users by email (contacting companies that base part of their business around the keywords in the domain you are marketing to them) is SPAMMING or illegal?
What are you opinions?
