Today’s Sedo .mobi auction drew a big crowd and big bucks.

[Editors note: all prices were captured in real time and are tentative.] Think .mobi prices have hit the stratosphere? Look no further than the conclusion of Sedo’s latest .mobi auction, which ended this afternoon. Taxi.mobi stole the show, hailing a top bid of $75,111. The domain received a whopping 83 bids.

Also attracting attention was Homes.mobi, which sold for $53,700 with 53 bids. Houses.mobi, while not as good, is available in today’s GoDaddy auction (see below).

Date.mobi sold for $40,000 with 39 bids and Kiss.mobi sold for $23,777 with 62 bids. Perhaps these two domains went to the same buyer?

Parking.mobi sold for $15,500, likely to a domain parking company. But that doesn’t mean parking on .mobi domains will take off.

Two other domains cracked five figures: Limo.mobi at $12,756 and Beauty.mobi at $10,756.

Other notable sales included resorts.mobi at $7,550, VacationRentals.mobi $1,320 (the best bargain in the auction), and viajes.mobi at $8,302. An auction for humor.mobi is still dragging on and is currently $6,300.

Lawyer.mobi closed at $10,100, but failed to meet its reserve of up to $20,000.

The strong results from this auction bode well for today’s GoDaddy Signature Auctions. Although I think the reserve prices are generally high, there are a few good .mobi domains that may attract bids. Today’s .mobi domains include apartments.mobi, moving.mobi, and houses.mobi, each with starting bids of $20,000. I think apartments.mobi has the most potential.
