Domain registrar says it has no direct knowledge of underage porn on the website.
Domain name registrar Epik has retracted a statement it made after booting the website Kiwi Farms from its service in December.
At the time, Epik stated that it received a complaint about the controversial Kiwi Farms website that it believed to show underage porn.
Kiwi Farm’s operator said the person in the photos was 19. He also threatened to sue Epik over its statement.
Epik has since deleted the tweet and several other tweets about the issue.
This evening, Epik tweeted:
Epik retracts its statement in regards to the Kiwi Farms having child sexual abuse material on its website. While Epik may not agree with content that may be on its website, Epik has no direct knowledge of child sexual abuse material on the Kiwi Farms’ website.
Registered Agents Inc., a business formation company, acquired Epik last year after the domain registrar experienced financial troubles.
