Sedo’s top public sale for the past week was vital.io. Vital, a company that offers technology to emergency health providers, bought his domain name. Question: is this .io domain superior to the company’s existing .com, VitalER.com?

Business-Evolution.de EUR 4,500 – This domain forwards to alex-fischer-duesseldorf.de. Alex Fischer is an educator for real estate, finance and entrepreneurship.
CodigoQR.com EUR 4,000 – This domain forwards to GenerateQRCode.com, a site for doing exactly what its name implies.
CityWohnen.de EUR 3,570 – City-Wohnene is a site for renting apartments. This domain forwards to city-wohnen.de.
Gedacolor.com EUR 3,499 – Gedacolor creates machines for making aluminum signs. It forwards this domain to Gedacolor.ch.
TheMangoLab.com $3,499 – The Mango Lab offers photography classes. It uses the matching .co.uk domain.

HeyNanny.com $2,500 – Wow, this company really needed this upgrade! HeyNannyly helps companies offer nanny services to their employees. It uses the domain HeyNannyly.com.
FarFetch.nl EUR 2,499 – Far Fetch is a clothing site. It forwards this domain to FarFetch.com.
No, Vital*io is not a superior option.
VitalER*com is safer and Vital*io will only send traffic to Vital *com. $60K would have been better spent on a rebrand to a brandable .com.
IO is a dangerous extenson to build a multi-million dollar brand post-British Indian Ocean Territory legalities.
(.io) is a powder keg for brands the day Chagos Islanders gain control from the British government.
i like VITAL as a keyword, but not sure if .io is best extension for healthcare, especially when you have vitaler.com…but maybe they have another plan for vital.io – a site for vitals, a site for vital info…let’s see
