After many years of trying, Gravity Forms finally scores its ideal domain name.
The maker of the popular Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress has acquired the domain name gravity.com.
Gravity Forms announced the acquisition on Twitter today:
Excited to announce that we are now the proud owners of the https://t.co/7fnNrsF8w0 domain name. It only took 13 years but it’s finally home. pic.twitter.com/e4pFvIUjMs

The company acquired the domain from Yahoo Ad Tech, which is the latest incarnation of Yahoo. It was most recently used as a personalized content discovery engine. Before that, the domain was used by Gravity Sports marketing.
Gravity Forms has likely dealt with many different people over the years trying to acquire this domain given the rocky history of Yahoo during the past decade.
The domain currently forwards to GravityForms.com.
Powerful URL and savvy upgrade for Gravity Forms. Now, they own the ‘Gravity’ term, but can drop ‘forms’ from the URL and sell ANYTHING without confusion or brand inconsistency.
An excellent domain name.
I hope the buyer joins you for an interview.
I’ve inquired. If anyone know someone at the company please let me know.
