Company introduced tool that enables its typical customer to list domains for sale.
GoDaddy recently made listing domains for sale easier for all of its customers, not just domain name investors. Customers who have unused domain names in their accounts can walk through a wizard to list their domains for sale through the company’s GoDaddy network.
On last week’s investor conference call, GoDaddy CEO Aman Bhutani said:
Our new list for sale tool has also seen an incredible first inning. This tool lets customers with unused domain names list them in our aftermarket and in just three months we’ve seen over 350,000 domains get listed.
I reached out to GoDaddy for more color on this number. A spokesperson told me that this does not include any domains listed directly on Afternic. While the number includes some investors listing their domains through GoDaddy.com, “We’ve seen great momentum from our non-domain investor customer base,” the spokesperson said.
Lots of people who don’t consider themselves domain name investors own unused domain they’d be willing to sell. By making it easy for them to list these domain names, GoDaddy is unlocking inventory and making it easier for other people to acquire these domains.
Now if only they could find their big boy/girl pants, and leverage that market position they earned through billions of loss of public money, to tell Verisign where to stick it. They abuse their market power and entitlement syndrome with each unethical breath, while dropping every virtue signal they can to cover their asses for deplorable past actions. The world is facing some very real hardships. These people show zero regard for their customer base, the obstacles they face, and they are more concerned with lobbyist positions to guide icann behind the scenes than to actually protect or show care for those duped into using them. Get going market leaders… show domain loyalists that squeezing and squeezing will not stand. We get that you benefit from others loss, and you have built a model around greed and access to privilege, but the industry needs your action not false woke promises.
Open We Stand (to Gouge)…. But it Might Cost You (Everything)!
I avoid Godaddy at all costs. A Monopoly taking advantage of all , Greed has no end.
Ron…i own a domain Whistleblower.Online and if you reach out to me, I can add to the story. Whistleblower isn’t up yet, but I can be reached; [email protected] Thanks
I just made a tutorial for this which is located here:

They can use their status as market leader to grow this but don’t trust that sellers will get the better end of the deal. Either way is one more option for sellers.
GoDaddy sold my premium domain for an incorrect price and then sent it to afternic for sale again! Then they claim no error has happened! Avoid at all costs!!!!
This has been happening for many years, this is nothing new in this domain market, AI has increased the power of new technologies and the use they make of them is a resource to make money in very different ways.
This arrangement is more beneficial GoDaddy than the actual Seller, the so called Customers who have unused domain names in their accounts.
