Some people believe the domain was registered before the fly landed.
A fly landed on Mike Pence’s head during last week’s vice presidential debate. Someone associated with the Joe Biden campaign registered FlyWillVote.com and forwarded it to IWillVote.com. Biden’s campaign tweeted out the link.
It was humorous. Playful. That is all.
Believe it or not, there’s a conspiracy theory about it. Some people believe that the domain name was registered before the fly landed on Pence’s head and that it’s part of some sort of plot.
I thought they were joking at first. Making light of conspiracy theories. But the more I read about them putting together a timeline of events; it seems that they really believe this. (See the picture of the image making the rounds.)
I’m guilty of making fun of conspiracy theorists on occasion, which might be wrong if you look at it under the light of mental illness. What I should do is try to convince people with these thoughts to seek help. Hopefully, you can do the same.
To be clear, I don’t give a hoot about whatever this theory is.
But, I think that you should listen to Dave Chappelle.

Conspiracy Theorist is a loaded term that enables putting everyone into a simple box, where simply labeling everyone in that box as ‘crazy’ passes for understanding.
Instead of asking why others are so crazy, it might be worthwhile to also ask yourself why you are so dismissive. Just a thought.
To say that NO conspiracies exist is clearly wrong. If you only believe in whatever the ‘official’ version of events as told by authorities (government, media, etc) is true, you’ll eventually be forced into a contradiction, because if you look at history there have been plenty of instances where officials in government alleged the existence of a conspiracy. I once blogged about this, to show a clear example, citing the findings of the 1954 Congressional Reece Committee:
http://www.curving.org/the-reece-committee-and-debunking-debunked/
Blanket dismissal of all so-called conspiracy theory is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Conspiracies exist. Crazy people exist. Both are true. It’s a ‘both/and’, not an ‘either/or’ logic. The truth or falsity of anything requires discernment and an open mind. Just a friendly PSA.
Oh PLEASE . Ok , so the BIDEN CAMPAIGN trained a FLY to hassle PANTIES . Is that it?? You are sadly demented.. and btw ? So is Chappelle. As virtually anyone working in Entertainment could have told you . But sure , Nutcakes .
Where was it debunked. I’m just curious.
The amazing thing is how well they capitalized on the opportunity and raised $350,000 selling fly swatters. 🙂 Now that’s a real savvy opportunist to me.
The onus is on the lunatics making these claims. Ask yourself why conspiracy theorists (who give actual and practical conspiracy investigation a bad name) usually withhold good references/evidence, in this case reference for timestamps?
They should provide, at the least:
1) The earliest transmission of the debate at the time of the fly’s appearance.
2) The time the domain was ordered vs when the registrar actually registered it. What did the Godaddy engineers communicate regarding delays or latency?
3) Who’s the registrant and what’s their story?
It’s because the audience for these types of conspiracies have a low IQ and are prone to assumptions and believing rather than using brain power to assess objective reality. They might also be sneaky lefty-righty partisans who will ride anything in-line with their narrative.
I can easily imagine it being true actually. Democrats are quite evil and dirty these days. They are able to pull out country-devastating stunts like the Russia-collusion hoax or the impeachment for a phone call. They play politics when it comes to coronavirus and people’s lives, while getting their hair done in “closed” beauty parlors. They hand over Hillary Clinton debate questions and conspire with the media to allow “dementia” Joe Biden to do “interviews” in which he just reads his teleprompter. These are all facts.
Now, what makes you think that they are unable to release a fly or two with a chance it will sit on Mike Pence’s head? Not much to lose, especially if you know Pence is a much better debater, and if you know his hair is snow-white, while Harris’s hair is black. They were also separated by a glass, so releasing the flies within the Pence “area” could improve the chances of such a stunt to be successful.
The fact is, Pence demolished Harris in this debate, he was quite masterful I’d say, and the only thing the left had was the fly.
Wake up, Andrew. You don’t need to try to convince people that think that this may have possibly been planned to seek help. If indeed it was a stunt, that would be one of the least evil stunts the democrats/the left has pulled out recently.
Personally, I have no idea if it was a stunt and I have no time to investigate it. Too bad you didn’t do it writing this news. If someone claims that the domain was registered prior to the accident, and you laugh at them calling them mentally ill, you should at least check the validity of this claim.
Vin. You are mentally ill. Not laughing at you. Just stating a fact for which I checked the validity of against your braindead ramblings above. Seek help.
Your post is already positioned page one in Google search. Surely high def video could be reviewed 30 frames per second to see if the fly flew or if the video was doctored by the producers.
It wouldn’t prove anything. AI and CGI is already advanced enough that something as small and simple as a fly can be inserted into any frame in real-time. But the conspiracy is so ridiculous that to waste time on such an ‘investigation’ would prove one’s own unfathomable bare-brained stupidity.
Yea, not quite seeing how/if this was debunked. Do you have a plausible explanation for it?
I’ll add that I didn’t look into this at all. Just if the times are as quoted on that screenshot, it’s suspicious, but maybe the screenshot is noting the wrong timestamps.
I thought it was obvious, but I debunked the “theory” by looking at when the domain was registered vs. when the fly landed.
Lol. Speaking of attracting flies…
Something worth considering:

However, when that happened I watched the video to see it for myself. In the original video the pimple appeared and then disappeared, so it can’t be claimed that FX where use to hide the pimple as it was clear they were used to place the pimple for a limited period of time. I can not find the original video at this time.

And then we have:

I watched the video and it did not look right to me but I did not put in the effort to view it frame by frame. That video is what I see when I look at the original video, the fly appears from no where.
BTW, I live in Utah, and I went to the U of U. Flies are not particularly common as this is a desert, Utah is the second driest (non winter) climate in the country. I am wondering where a fly would even come from …. If I am outside with food yellow jackets are what visit my plate, not flies.
No comment on the Fly but Harris looked weaker than I expected her to be.
