Revenue more than quadrupled from 2014 to 2017.
New top level domain name registry .CLUB Domains has landed at #1164 on the newly released Inc 5000 for 2018. The list is ranked based on three-year revenue growth.
The company had $7.2 million revenue in 2017, up 419% over 3-years. It launched its domain name in early 2014.
This is the first look we’ve had at .Club’s financials in a while. .Club CEO Colin Campbell previously discussed the group’s 2015 financials with DomainName Wire. In that year it had about $7.0 million in bookings, but that excludes any sort of revenue recognition so it’s not necessarily comparable.
Whois API remained on the list for a second year, coming in at #651 with $2.7 million in revenue and 775% three-year growth. It will be interesting to see what happens with this company in the age of GDPR.
GTLD’s are on life support right now, I can’t see growth growing after the Chinese blunder
I don’t know why you would say that. (I will be honest and say I have no idea what the “Chinese blunder” is)
In the past 4 or 5 days I notice all kinds of results showing up now for gTLD sites for various searches. Clearly the field is diversifying.
Mike….just another “hater” of the gTLD’s. btw, I see you showing up on Google’s first page when i search/visit “vacation rentals”. Speaking of “visit”, did you see where (.)LLC is a new extension? Visit is one of the top 10 trending words, and I own Visit.llc. I’ll send you a separate email sharing how may limited liability companies there are in the US. And to think, there are three million new LLC’s started every year that would luv to have their domain name match their legal name EXACTLY:)
Most people “hate” new tlds, that is why they have 1% market share between all 1225 extensions.
Chinese Blunder was when chinese were buying CHIPS LLL.club like they were savings bonds, etc..
It all ended up being a pump, and dump farce, and the drops followed.
I see .club on sale for 99 cents all the time, I believe they paid about $5-8M for the extension, and a serious of marketing blunders like 50 cent etc… who referred to the .com in a epic blunder during this expensive launch party, the buses etc… nobody cares, like it has been said below, you can sell the matching .club with the .com, and they won’t even pay you 10 cents on the dollar for it.
Sorry, it is just the truth.
Balloney is a senile man, who has made a fool of himself at namepros many times.
That’s Bulloney with a “u”, not Balloney Taylor. I’m neither senile or a fool, but the domaiin industry is so screwed up, it’s going to take a newbie like me to help straighten it out. This business of buying domains and hoping and praying an “end user” comes along in the next 10 years and buys a few is a FARCE! I just bought ten new single word gTLD’s for the extension (.)LLC because the last 12 businesses I’ve started are LLC’s. You sir are so ignorant you probably don’t even know what an LLC is? The equivalent .coms for names like “accident”, “inheritance”, “Italian” and “lend” appraise for 3.58 MILLION dollars at Estibot (all ten names), and I bought my LLC’s for a whopping $250 or $25 each.
Taylor…I’m playing in a charity golf tournament for a Childrens Hospice called Edmarc today. I own the domain Focus.golf that actually appraised for $2,120 at GD. This was before Brooks Koepka, the number one golfer in the world attributed “FOCUS”, as the reason for his success. I paid a whopping 4.88 for the name at NameCheaps, and you think it was a waste of a couple of bucks?
My question to you is; who is SENILE or who is the bigger FOOL?
Your turn Taylor…..FORE!, or should that be FOCUS!
Why would anyone want accident.llc or inheritance.llc? These aren’t common company names. They are available in .com form so who knows what you are talking about with estibot valuations.
Honestly, I don’t believe it after having been in this industry for over two decades and found that most companies and the largest domainers lie.
From an end user perspective.club seems to have been a total loser. Nobody is using them. Also no domainer or platform is selling and buying them in the aftermarket. If they are doing so great why is there absolutely no aftermarket?
It would interesting to know after 4 years trading what the bottom line is doing. Deferred revenues distort the picture .
Sounds like revenue hasn’t really grown since the first year.
In terms of registrations .club is padding of the numbers is getting worse and worse. Ntldstats shows falling registration numbers punctuated by huge 3 day spikes to prop things up again. My guess is that this is driven by extreme short term discounts somewhere obscure (China?).
They’ve done this 3 times now since January, 70,000 names, 80,000 names and the latest 130,000.
I thought .club domains were viable. I own 5, which I probably will drop.
I recently had a transaction of a .com I own – sold to an enduser. I also own the .club, and I offered this domain for 1 K as an add-on. The buyer had zero interest, so I decided to give it to the buyer gratis. The company still declined, expressing “zero” interest.
The Campbell boys are playing fast and loose with the truth and registration numbers, guaranteed.
I had regd these names in 2014 and have never gotten an offer.
Something smells!
It can’t be that I am this stupid, can it?

Your entire list is crap.
If all you’re doing is buying names and listing them for sale on sites where “end users” never look, you’ll never sell them. Maybe it’s time to change your marketing strategy.
there are end-user sites, pray tell !
I would be forever in your debt.
Man, I am getting stupider and stupider!
I bow, as your subordinate, of course.
lol
End-user sites.
another secret, kept from the very very stupid.
oh well
As I had suspected.
just keeps getting more and more harder
Endusers visit the domain and sometimes will do a whois lookup. All it needs is a lander with a for sale message and a contact form or email address.
If the name then doesn’t get inquiries there is no demand and it should be dropped.
Duh Snoopy! and Robert…..did I say there are “end user” sites???? That’s my whole point Snoopy….there aren’t any sites, other than maybe GD, that the average end user may go to. How many businesses have you started and named Snoopy?
End users don’t know you exist, but they’ll know I exist because I knock on their front door….stay tuned, and FOCUS!
Robert, a valuable name will have endusers knocking. If a name needs outbound marketing to get interest it is likely because the name is worthless.
If you’re investing new tlds (especially less than premium stuff) trying outbound marketing is probably the only option but it is very unlikely to be profitable when time is factored in.
My .club names are not bad, nor worthless, and compare easily to most shown on this “SOLD”, Namebio list. SOMETHING SMELLS! SOMETHING DEFINITELY STINKS, AND IT IS NOT ME.

Robert, everyone loses when they start in domains. But the important thing is a to realize as early possible that the names actually are stinkers.
Snoopy…you ask why anyone would want to own Accident.LLC or Inheritance.LLC for maybe $1,200 each or Accident.com or Inheritance.com for $100K each? Duh!…I just bought two more; Destination.LLC and Culinary.LLC, and you’re asking the question why anyone would want to call their business Destinationllc or Culinaryllc? I guess you never have owned or named a business Snoopy, yet you would pay 100K for the .com equivalents?
Your turn….now FOCUS! i’m headed out to do something way more important, like support a children’s hospice.
Accidentllc.com and inheritancellc.com are available. Why would the new tld versions be worth anything?
Snoopy says; “Most people “hate” new gTLDS” Who are “most people” Snoopy? I can guarantee you “most people” don’t even know what a TLD is.
However, therein lies the opportunity that you simply don’t see.
I guess you’re a domainer and can’t see the forest for the trees. Nor do you understand risk vs. reward. The absolute arrogance that plagues this industry is something to behold. Thank God I’m not a domainer (which btw, isn’te even a word)
There is only domainers in this thread Captain. You are one yourself. Welcome to the Club!
Good to see you Bulloney.
I was wondering where you were going to post now you have been banned form NamePros for the 2nd (or is it 3rd?) time.
Brad
Hey Brad….miss me? I’m wearing the NamePros Red Badge of Courage for the third time, but I’ve met a lot of real good people around the world as a result of my very popular threads. I may be gone from NamePros, but each and every day my posts still get “likes”. Oh, you can share this with the rest of your “ilk”..remember the “Incredibe” domain thread I started? Well, one of my “Incredible” (.) coms just sold. Want to take a guess which one, and for how much?
Cheers!….great to see you out and about.
Namepros is full of morons. 90% of people there have no idea what they are doing, so getting “likes” isn’t necessarily a good sign.
