Drop catching service is increasing prices significantly this week.
A lot seems to be going on with drop catching expired .com domain names. Verisign is definitely up to something that is going to change how services capture domains.
Now comes news that Pheenix, the least expensive of the big three drop catchers, is significantly increasing prices on .com/.net backorders.
Starting July 15 it will charge $59.99 for .com and .net backorders. That’s up significantly from today’s $38.99 price and puts it in line with DropCatch.com’s $59.00. SnapNames/NameJet charge $79.00.
Of course, the starting price doesn’t matter much if it’s a popular domain because it will go to auction.
Pheenix will still offer its discounted backorders that are usurped by any standard price backorders.
Pheenix doesn’t catch much of anything good, our Chinese friends have left the building, and the easy money is gone, now to bleed out loyal customers.
I will pass from using Pheenix all together.
you are right
Let’s make 2017 an expensive year!
Actually, for anyone still actually using Pheenix, you can still purchase backorder credits @ $37.99
