Fashion auction ends this afternoon and most domain names will sell.
Almost all of the domain names in the .NYC auction on SnapNames that ends today have bids above their reserve.
As of 9:30 am EST today, 20 of the 24 domain names have met their reserve. The auction ends at 2:15 3:15 pm EST.
So far, the highest bid is just $600. But keep in mind that the morning the .NYC real estate auction ended in October, the highest bid was $1,600. Two domains ended up selling for over $16,000 in that auction.
Nevertheless, I wouldn’t expect the fashion domain names to sell for as much as real estate names.
Shop.nyc currently leads the pack and I expect the auction the close for significantly more than the current $600.
Bidders must have nexus in New York City, such as a residence or a business.
