MarkMonitor itself tipped me off to this new brand.
Last Friday I asked “Who is Clarivate?”
Some company registered a bunch of domain names through MarkMonitor for this brand.
One thought that didn’t cross my mind was that MarkMonitor was registering the domain names for itself.
As it turns out, Clarivate Analytics is the new name for Thomson Reuters’ former Intellectual Property and Science Business, which it sold to private equity firms Onex and Baring Asia.
On Friday I pointed out Onex being included in a couple of the domain names, so perhaps I should have connected the dots a bit more.
The company has continued to register domain names for the business including many ccTLDs and typos such as Clarevate.com, Clairivate.com and Claryvate.com.

But they don’t own the dot ca ? Clarivate.ca, Canadians biggest users of the internet, they missed that boat.
in5 says
They have clarivateanalytics.ca.
Tom says
That is one ugly looking two word combo , like vowels are being violated lol Shouldn’t Moniker know the one word is where it’s at?
Paul says

did i miss a payday or dodge a lawsuit?
Josh says
Pay day.
Paul says
Maybe…………
i was unsure as around 2005 i had an issue with Disney regarding a name – the first words out of my lawyers mouth were “and what made you register the name?”
caution first, second time around.
