Rightside’s revenue was down sequentially, but up compared to the same time last year.
Rightside (NASDAQ:NAME) released earnings after the bell today.
The company reported $55.1 million revenue for the first quarter of 2016, a 9% increase over the same quarter of 2015. However, this was down from $55.7 million last quarter.
Rightside reported a loss of ($5.1) million for the quarter.
Revenue from new top level domains increased from $2.5 million in Q4 2015 to $2.6 million in Q1 2016. Revenue is building as the company’s base of registered domains to recognize revenue from increases. (Revenue is recognized over the life of the registration.)
Between eNom and Name.com, Rightside has 16.6 million domains under management.
