With over 400 attendees, NamesCon is nearing capacity.
I’m not sure what constitutes a “sell out”, but apparently this month’s NamesCon conference is nearing its capacity:
Over 400 people have already registered, making this the biggest domainer-focused conference since Webfest nearly a year ago. This is despite being announced just a few months ago. The timing (with new TLDs finally rolling out) is great, the cost is low, and the content looks better than any show since the early DomainRoundtable conferences (perhaps because the same person, Jothan Frakes, is organizing the sessions).
I’m most excited about the mix of attendees. There will be the usual domainer crowd, a lot of first time conference-goers, new top level domain applicants, and many people that usually only make it to ICANN conferences.
NamesCon takes place January 13-15 at The Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas. A discounted registration fee of $399 is available until January 8.
