Hardware cooperative files lawsuit in second attempt to get domain name TrueValueWeb.com.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
This Monday I wrote about how United Press International filed a lawsuit after losing a UDRP complaint.
Now True Value Company, which also recently lost a UDRP complaint, has done the same thing.
The UDRP was for TrueValueWeb.com. As I wrote in my article covering the UDRP last month, True Value made some rather questionable arguments in that case. It lost because it failed to prove the domain owner lacked rights or legitimate interests in the domain name.
True Value mentions the UDRP in its lawsuit (pdf), but doesn’t bother to mention that it lost the case.
Frankly, I don’t think TrueValueWeb.com is worth the money the company is investing into trying to get its hands on it…unless it has some specific new plans for the domain.
