Web site auctioning off two character .biz domains; first domains close today.
TwoDotBiz.biz, an online auction site for two character .biz domain names, has domain auctions closing daily for the next couple months. The site was set up by Pool in conjunction with .biz registry Neustar.
The first auctions started closing earlier today.
A number of domains are selling for decent prices, with the majority of bids in the low three digit range but some crossing over to four digits. Examples of domains that have sold today include fw.biz at $565, jh.biz at $260, and c4.biz at $210.
Some upcoming auctions are fairing better. 69.biz, which closes on December 8, is at $1,550. 88.biz, also closing on December 8, has reached $1,100.
Neustar has already auctioned off a number of one and two character .biz domain names through auctions at Sedo and Moniker. The highest sale to date is e.biz for $66,001.
Interestingly, Pool didn’t secure the domain name TwoDotBiz.com, which was registered after it registered the .biz domain. The .com currently forwards to a parked page.
I’m looking forward to the final tally -> number of domains sold, the amount, and seeing some of these two character .BIZ names get developed.
Ugh.
This is the best .biz can do; even with rare 2-letter names? Really?
Clear evidence of just how bad this extension really is.
hope this will buzz the .biz domains
