Web site building and monetization platform goes into the black.
EVO Media Group, creator of the DevHub web site development platform, has reached profitability just five months after releasing its flagship project.
The company boasts an active user base of 25,000 people developing web sites on its platform. Total visits to the network of sites built on DevHub is nearing 1 million per month with over 2 million page views, according to data from Quantcast.
Operating a lean staff and generating positive buzz for its product from TechCrunch and Mashable has been instrumental to becoming profitable. It also helps that DevHub serves as the underlying platform for Rob Monster’s new startup Epik. Monster is also an investor in EVO Media Group.
Andrew,
Would it be fair to assume that profitability was achieved solely from income produced from websites developed using the DevHub system?
In other words, does this profitabilty indicate DevHub sites are making $?
Patrick, that’s not all of it, but they are definitely making money from the sites. One thing I like is DevHub now sends you a weekly email with revenue updates on your sites.
@Patrick — Yes!
@Andrew — Thanks for the post!
Best regards,
