Popular software programs tap into new Google search count data.
A couple weeks ago Google launched a new “Overture score” type of tool that lets you see estimated search counts for keywords. (See Google Releases “Overture Scoreâ€-Like Tool.) Tool providers that cater to the search and domain businesses have been working overtime to use the new data in their systems.
One of the tools that now uses the Google data is Adword Analyzer. This software pulls related keywords based on your seed keyword, then runs numbers on search count, results, Google ads, and MSN ads. Although designed for search engine marketing, this tool provides invaluable data for domainers. Just copy the results into a bulk domain checker and see which keywords are available as domains. Then run those domains against the list in Adword Analyzer to see which available domains have high search volumes and a reasonable number of advertisers.
It won’t be long before people start selling domains in forums and touting the “Google Score”.
Hopefully Google won’t be overwhelmed with data requests. Yahoo’s Overture inventory tool was constantly bogged down under excessive data requests and ran slow as molasses. Already, one Domain Name Wire reader has reported that he can only do a few searches of Google’s data without being logged into an Adwords account.

You say “It won’t be long before people start selling domains in forums and touting the “Google Score”.”
Nice prediction, because we, IDNers, already have such a tool. Check it out:
