First day has solid sales; big ticket domains to be auctioned off today.
The first day of SnapNames’ live domain auction at DomainFEST appears to have been a success. The first day included lower priced domains. Big ticket domains — including invitro.com, track.com, and athlete.com — go on auction today.
Domain Name News blogged results as they happened yesterday evening. It looks like Alimony.com was the clear winner, taking in $75,000. Butcher.com did well selling for $52,500.
There also were a number of bargains to be found on the first day. ChapterEleven.com sold for only $14,000, Guarantees.com was a nice buy at $7,000, and HealthCareRecords.com sold for $6,000.
The second day of the live auction kicks off at 4PM Pacific today. SnapNames appears to have waived the $100 remote bidder fee. In order to participate or follow along you must download proprietary software at snapnames.com/liveAuctions.do.

Too bad the auction will take place between 1h00-4h00 of the night in France (worst in other european conutries). I could not bid few I was interested.
Yeah, it’s a bad time for me too — 6PM. But maybe I’ll jump on toward the end.
Sad that Snap have chosen a Micro$oft-OS-only
viewing/bidding client. There’s a lot of us
Mac-only etc. users out here who wouldn’t let
a windows box defile our space. Sorry Snap,
can’t participate.
