Sedo sold $1.1 million of domain names last week, including these end user sales.
Sedo handled a higher-than-usual 647 domain name transactions last week totaling $1.1 million. 56% — slightly hire than usual — were “buy now” sales.
Among the end user buyers were a site that connects bands to wedding gigs, a food sustainability organization, and some guy named Paul who bought Paul.xyz. (The abc.xyz effect continues!)
Here’s a look at 17 end user purchases that took place at Sedo over the past week:
Keylight.de €1,250 – German IT company Keylight Solutions GmbH.
BandsForHire.co.uk £1,470 – Bands For Hire Ltd connects people with bands for weddings, corporate events and other functions.
VisitTheUSA.co.uk £2,500 – The domain name is registered to Mark Monitor’s privacy service DNStination, so it’s certainly an end user.
Paul.xyz $1,999 – Some guy named Paul.
AldoShoes.at $5,000 – Shoe company Aldo Group International AG.
15thClub.com €899 – Sports marketing and analytics company 21stClub.com bought this domain. A rebrand in the works? They don’t own these domains in .Club.
AUG.co 3,500 – Human resources and organizational consulting firm August Public.
Easy-Taxi.com $3,500 – European conglomerate easyGroup Ltd. Paying $3,500 beats losing a UDRP.
EuropeCloud.com €999 – Hosting company Spango Internet.
Breeze.me $775 – website design company Innovah LLC bought this domain, perhaps for a client.
Abilmente.com $2,300 – Bangkok interior design and construction firm Abilmente just upgraded from .net to .com.
InnovativeAV.com $2,500 – Arlington, Virginia company Innovative Audio and Video dropped the hyphen from Innovative-AV.com.
GGN.org $2,750 – GlobalG.A.P., a food safety and sustainability organization.
Progressly.com $8,750 – Because owning a domain hack based on a Libya domain name can suck, process management company Progressly bought this domain to go with Progress.ly.
ImperialWoodworkingEnterprises.com $977 – Imperial Architectural Finishes must be branching out.
TAG-UK.com $1,077 – The Calf Company says it “teamed up with TAG-by-ST to be able to offer top quality bulls in to the UK.”
Alpadia.net $3,000 – Alpadia language schools already owns the matching .com domain name.
