My favorite Mexican restaurant just bought Tex-Mex.com

Lupe Tortilla buys Tex-Mex.com and other end user domain purchases.

So I was putting together this week’s summary of end user domain purchases when I noticed a familiar name: Lupe Tortilla. This Mexican restaurant serves the world’s best beef fajitas. And it apparently has some domain smarts, too. The company bought Tex-Mex.com $4,300 from Afternic this week. (It’s not TexMex.com, but still a good domain.)

The downside to Lupe Tortilla is that I can only visit it when in Houston. But checking out their site today it looks like they’re opening a location in Austin, right across from my office. I can’t wait.

Now, on to the rest of the end user sales. All sales took place at Afternic unless otherwise noted.

Online store system Shopify bought mCommerce.com for $50,000. As Elliot points out, the seller may be former NBA basketball player Mark Madsen.

Samsung bought u-point.com for $700 at Sedo.

The owner of GoLibertyFoods.com bought LibertyFoods.com for $1,000. There’s not much up at GoLibertyFoods.com right now, but it’s safe to say this is an end user purchase.

Medical Sales College in Colorado bought EliteMed.com for $2,600.

Packaging company LC Packaging bought BigBags.com for $11,050.

NextEra Energy, Inc., a clean energy subsidiary of Florida Power & Light, purchased Clear-Sky.com for $2,388. ClearSky.com without the hyphen is owned by The Bank of New York Mellon.

Smart Utility Solutions, a software company catering to utilities, paid $1,488 to upgrade its domain name from SmartUtilitySolutions.net to the .com equivalent.

Dragon’s Breath Glass LLC, a company that makes bags branded, um, Dime Bags, bought NickelBags.com for $1,000 at Sedo.

The owner of cashflow-manager.com, who is creating business accounting software, dropped the hyphen for $5,000.

I look forward to trying their food when they open a restaurant in Austin. I’ll take you out Andrew. Perhaps I should also sell them texastacos.com :)

@ Ramiro Canales – their fajitas or something else. Haven’t tried anything else since they’re so good.

    Look forward to catching up.
