DOMAINfest quickly approaching.
The biggest domain name conference and domainer party of the year is just around the corner.
DOMAINfest Global 2011 kicks off Tuesday, February 1 at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica, California. And although you’ll certainly learn a lot at the event, you have to admit a big draw happens each evening.
On Tuesday night .Co Internet will host a Polynesian Paradise Party at the hotel’s Pool Terrace and Miramar Gardens. .Co tried to host a similar outdoor party last year but mother nature didn’t cooperate. They still threw a great indoor party, but here’s hoping the rain will stay away this time.
Wednesday night VeriSign is sponsoring “The Golden Era of Hollywood Party” at Skybar on Sunset Strip. It’s worth noting that VeriSign has really started to support the domain investor community after what seemed like years of shunning it. It’s a nice change.
Thursday night is the infamous Playboy Mansion Party to benefit Jenny McCarthy’s Generation Rescue. Last year the women of the industry had an unofficial party prior to the event. This year they’ll have an official party and ride their own bus to the party, which is a cool idea.
The Fairmont Hotel is already sold out, and I believe there are no more discounted rooms available at The Huntley Hotel across the street. Show organizer Oversee.net has links to other possible hotels on its web site.
I’ll be at the event covering it for Domain Name Wire and representing BigJumbo. We’ll have a BigJumbo booth with a fun, personalized giveaway for everyone who comes by. So stop by and say hello.
Registration is still open. Over 600 people are expected to attend.
