NetMovie.com sells for $31,500

NetMovie.com is the latest high-value domain to sell at domain name aftermarket Afternic.

Afternic’s hot sales streak continues after its recent sale of Mannequins.com for $103,000. The domain sales company just sold NetMovie.com for $31,500.

On November 7 the company also rang up $17,750 for parkmerced.com. Look for a few more big sales coming down the pike as well. Auctions for Slapper.com, Granny.net, and Jogger.org end today. Slapper.com has a $10,000 offer while the other two have $8,000 offers. The latter two domains show a lot of promise for .net and .org domains, which have been trending upwards lately. At October’s TRAFFIC domain auction a typo .net Mortgage.net sold for $149,000, CreditCards.net sold for $120,000, and University.org sold for $100,000.

Sedo’s new auction format continues to provide winners. A few three character .coms have met their reserves including htt.com (currently $5,800), ufn.com (currently $4,000), fby.com (currently $2,550), and 478.com (currently $2,500). A three character .biz domain, fff.biz, has a bidder at 4,095£. You can expect the three letter .com domains to attract many more bids before they close.

First of all, I am jealous. I wish one of my mediocre domains could sell for $100,000. That being said, what in the heck are you going to do with mannequins.com? Sell some mannequins is probably the answer, but how many do you need to sell to get back $100,000?

    Like I said – I’m jealous.
