Uruguay.com sells for $175,000

In one of the biggest reported domain name sales this year, Uruguay.com sold for $175,000 on Sedo last week, reports DNJournal. A number of quality one word domains sold during the week. Fights.com sold for $62,000 and Tractor.com sold for $45,000, both in private sales. A typo domain, CarreerBuilder.com, auctioned for $33,600 on enom. This is a steep price for a domain that could fairly easily be taken away in a WIPO dispute.

One surprise this week was a number of .TV domains exchanging hands. PokerNightLive.tv sold for $3,500, Tipp.tv €2,000, and Programm.tv and Casinos.tv sold for €1,000 each.
