Right of the Dot and Afternic have online domain auctions ending this week.
Two domain name auctions conclude this week.
First up, Right of the Dot’s extended domain name auction from NamesCon ends Tuesday, June 18 at 1 pm CT.
Right of the Dot says that some domains have lowered reserves, so if a domain didn’t sell in the live auction, you might be able to get it for a lower price in the silent auction.
While most good domains still haven’t hit their reserve, actors.com shows it has met its reserve at $138,222.
Then, on Thursday, GoDaddy’s NameFind auction comes to a close.
The auction features about 400 domains that GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) owns. There are no reserves, although domains start at different prices.
Over 100 domains already have bids and will sell.
As of this afternoon, 28.org and 62.org have the highest bids at $5,049. Those are sure to increase before the end of the auction.
One final auction note: Sedo’s Great Domains auction starts on June 20. The company is still accepting submissions.
Ben Johnson says
Best value by far in NamesCon auction is:
AdvertisingAgency.com- Under $30k
ArtistManagement.com-Under $10k
Anyone else find stellar names with reasonable reserves?
Trevor W says
It is outrageous that registrars can register domains and sell them at a markup!
Andrew Allemann says
They acquired these domain names from other domain investors. They didn’t register them.
