After customer feedback, ConverKit decides to stick with its original name.
Two weeks ago I interviewed Nathan Barry, founder of email marketing platform ConvertKit, on the DNW Podcast. Nathan explained the long process the company went through in coming up with tje new company name Seva and acquiring the domain name Seva.com. It was a lot of work and a big expense.
I heard from many people that this was the best podcast interview yet, and I agree that there were lots of great lessons and tips in that episode.
And now for another lesson…
After announcing the name change, ConvertKit got lots of feedback. Much of it was around the origins of the name. While ConvertKit viewed it as meaning “selfless service”, the company subsequently heard from many people about the deep connection to religion and culture that the word has.
It ultimately decided that it should stick with the ConvertKit name.
Does anyone want to buy Seva.com?
