Our guest today, Kathy Kleiman, was one of the founders of the organization and played an instrumental role in shaping the UDRP so that it wasn’t as one-sided in favor of trademark holders. A lot of domain name owners gripe about how unfair UDRP can be but they might be surprised to learn that it was almost a lot worse. Great interview! The concept of putting up costs ahead of arbitration is a very common procedure in many arbitration forums. Perhaps that can be employed for the UDRP proceedings as well.
