Sedo went out of its traditional comfort zone to discuss domain investing.
Last week I wrote about how Sedo was exhibiting at the Annual Investor Meeting in Dubai this week.
This is an unusual conference for a domain name company. The audience knows next to nothing about domain names as an investment, which is precisely why Sedo is there.
Sedo Chief Marketing Officer Christian Voss sent some initial impressions to me about the experience. He said that people there are familiar with domain names such as .com and .ae, but they aren’t familiar with the domain name aftermarket, domain investing, or even they idea that they could trade with domains.
Indeed, outside the insular world of domain investors, very few people understand this business and its opportunity.

Ah yes SEDO, selling 3 letter .com domains for $2k, not that is a good business FOR THE BUYER.
JohnUK says
Hmm I must have been half asleep when I posted that. What I course meant was perhaps SEDO ought to teach themselves what a 3 char .com is actually worth before teaching the “World” .
Howard Gold says
These are the same people that buy extremely high priced license (number) plates. No doubt, they’ll get the concept of domain investing.
Julio Maysonet says
I really like what sedo is doing here because they are promoting all of the domain names that are listed at sedo.com
Frederick Schiwek says
Good to see that some of the brokers are looking for new markets.
Yasir says
SEDO ought to do a lot of hard work as there is no business/buyers for .ae domains at SEDO.COM
