Company with questionable background said it bought domain name for $10 million in 2008.
I’ve never believed that the $10 million transaction in 2008 for Fund.com was really a $10 million sale. There were too many things that didn’t add up. And there were lots of question marks around the company that bought it.
Now the name, which was never really put to use, is back on the market.
Igloo.com announced this morning that it is brokering the Fund.com domain name.
It’s a great domain name and I think financial institutions can certainly put it to use. I personally think that Funds.com, owned by Fidelity International, is a better domain name.
Fund.com isn’t worth $10 million, but I wonder how much Igloo will be able to get for it.
Funds.com is a good domain but Fund.com has tons of potential. Fund my startup, Fund my idea, Fund my business, Fund my college, etc…
It’s definitely not worth anywhere close to 10 mil.
Thank you, Andrew! I do, however, agree with Todd. Fund.com is an amazing domain name with a ton of potential!
