Regarding working with large companies that want to buy ccTLDs, can you divulge what types of domains they buy Tessa? Single word English names? Or are these in the respective languages of that country?
When the domain is in use, how does Igloo work out that deal? I assume you have to offer a lot of money, another domain name, and a rebranding budget. Also do they want some sort of non-compete signed by the other company?

In regards to ccTLDs, these are usually companies that we are / have acquired the .com for and they want to acquire the ccTLD if they do business (or plan to do business) in that respective country. So, yes, it is usually an English word (not necessarily single word) or in can be their brand which could be almost anything as we know!
If the domain is in use by another company, we just need to assess how extensively it’s being used, how much revenue they are realizing from using this domains, their business model, future growth plan, etc. These are all important factors when determining the “actual” value of the name to the business. We have only had one company request a non-compete as the buyer’s industry was somewhat similar to that of the seller.
