One domainer says 2013 was more good than bad – but that had a lot to do with lowered expectations.
It’s human nature that most people broadcast their successes yet hide their failures. That’s especially common in the domain name industry.
That’s not the case for Eric Borgos of Impulse Communications. He lays it all out there – including his annual sales and income!
Each year he also writes up a summary of how the year went for him, and it’s definitely worth a read.
In his 2013 summary, Borgos writes about his web development efforts (which didn’t turn out so well), his aggressive sales of domain names, adventures into mobile apps, minisites, social media efforts, and more. He also looks forward a bit to 2014, including plans to accept BitCoin on his ecommerce sites.
I always appreciate Borgos’ frankness, and recommend reading his 2013 review.
Borgos,
Thanks for the empirical Data, and forthright opinion!

Thank you sharing such interesting, useful information Eric.
May 2014 be far more successful.
