Second round of private new TLD auctions closes.
Innovative Auctions has completed its second round of Applicant Auctions to settle new top level domain name contention sets.
8 contention sets were resolved in this round for a total of $9,651,000.

.guide: Donuts, Inc (beat TLDH)
.construction: Donuts, Inc (beat Dot Construction, LLC)
.storage: Extra Space Storage (NYSE:EXR) (beat Donuts)
.desi: Desi Networks LLC (beat Afilias)
.expert: Donuts, Inc (beat Red Circle, LLC)
.fishing: Minds + Machines/Top Level Domain Holdings, Inc (LON:TLDH) (beat Demand Media/United TLD)
.casa: Minds + Machines (beat Donuts)
.网址 (.wangzhi): Hu Yi Global (beat TLDH)
Losing bidders include Demand Media (NYSE:DMD), Afilias Ltd., Dot Construction LLC, and Red Circle LLC.
In the previous auction six contention sets were settled for $9.01 million. The last round may have gotten a higher amount because one of the auctions (.club) was a three bidder auction.
Finally they understood that Google and all search engines CAN NOT run gTLDs, i.e. new or old TLDs different from their own trademarks.
