What domains Princeton and others bought this week

Princeton and others make end user domain purchases.

Before jumping in to the regular report, Jason Davis brought my attention to a sale that recently closed at GoDaddy. Jobing.com, which owns Recruiting.com, bought Onboarding.com for $20,000. The sale took place at GoDaddy.


Concierge Auctions, LLC bought RanchAuctions.com for $2,088.

K. Simon Construction, a roofing company, bought DallasRoofingContractors.com for $2,488.

All Generations Home Care dropped the hyphen in its web address, buying AllGenerations.com for $1,000.

iPad case maker GripCase made a big domain improvement, going from Gripcase-USA.com to just GripCase.com for $3,000.

Ranger Design Inc., maker of van equipment, bought RangerDesign.com for $3,477 and RangerEquipment.com for $2,877. Its main web address is RangerDesignInc.com.

Red Ventures, which recently bought WirelessPhones.com for $70,000, paid $1,400 for CaptainCourage.com.

Seattle gaming company Zombie Studios bought Zcure.com for $2,088. The company owns the killer domain Zombie.com.

Rwanda Works, which works with Rwadan health care centers, bought AccessProject.com for $1,000

Dating site Plenty of Fish bought InOurPrime.com for $1,588.

The owner of Social.tv bought GearWeek.com for $1,150.

Seattle’s StartupCity was back to purchase StartupEDU.com for $1,200.

Braintree, an online payments service, bought UniversalCheckout.com for $1,577.


Princeton University has purchased Datami.com for $1,000. The domain name forwards to http://scenic.princeton.edu/datami/, but there’s nothing on that page at the time of writing.

The company behind Mosquito Magnet traps has purchased the UK domain name mosquitomagnet.co.uk for 1,700 EUR.

The owner of ProofreadingServices.us upgraded to ProofreadingServices.com for $4,500.

Car rental company Enterprise bought EnterpriseUAE.com for $1,595.

The owner of RXEye.net upgraded to RXeye.com for $6,500.

    So as we’ve been observing at the Frager Factor based on monitoring Domain Name Sales to end users, TRUNCATION is the prime motivator behind 70% of the sales. All the sill CPC and search metrics domainers live or die by have no bearing,
