Domain registry files trademark application for new slogan.
NeuStar, Inc. has filed an intent-to-use trademark application for “WHERE BUSINESS LIVES. ONLINE.”
The application was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last Thursday (serial number 85538584).
NeuStar is the registry behind .biz and will be an active player in the new top level domain business.
The filing is for Goods and Services including “computer services, namely maintaining a registry of computer network addresses; computer network address management services, namely enabling persons to reserve and use computer network addresses and to search, access, add, modify or delete information relating to computer network addresses; computer services, namely, namely domain name registration services for others on a global computer network; administering alternative dispute resolution services.”

Shouldn’t the first and foremost rule of the domain business be to register the .com of any phrase that has to be/been TMed? 🙂 The .com is still available.
