Three additional parking companies added to domain rotation system.
Domain name parking optimization system Above.com has integrated three new parking companies into its platform: Voodoo, ParkingCrew, and TheParkingPlace.
It’s certainly interesting to see new parking companies pop up on the radar given all of the turmoil in industry; you could argue that these companies are appearing because of the challenges domainers face.
Voodoo and ParkingCrew use standard pay-per-click ads whereas TheParkingPlace uses primarily affiliate programs to monetize domain names. ParkingCrew is a new service from Team Internet GmbH out of Germany.
Above.com now has twenty parking services for which it says it can test domain names.

You can do almost the same thing by entering a single DNS entry from each parking outfit into your DNS field at your domain registrar.
It’s not sophisticated, but you don’t end up having to share your passwords with Above.com, you don’t give them your stats, you don’t have to worry about them being predators and picking up the domains you drop, or dealing with a sketchy stats interface, or have to figure out how much traffic they are keeping for their in-house ppc program or what domains they are taking traffic from, etc…. it goes on and on.
As you can tell, I am not a fan of the service.

I thought G & Y wants the dns pointed to the actual ppc supplier instead of above, com ??
And, I thought they didn’t want the dns pointed to your own dns/server (ie, ns1.andrew,com) and rotating it to different dns from your own server ??
Am I assuming incorrectly ??
Russ says
@Meyer – you can still use subdomains and your own nameservers to send traffic to your favorite parking companies. G wants an end to url forwarding (your domain needs to show up in the url bar) so they can know what domain their ads appeared on, and so they can catch and punish any funny business.
