Yesterday Domain Name Wire turned 3.
March 9, 2005 seems like a long time ago. Back then we were talking about Yahoo (YHOO) launching its answer to Google Adsense, GoDaddy fighting to keep whois privacy (I guess some things never change), and registry prices for .net domains dropping (OK, some things change.)
The reason this site is still around while other domain news sites have started and disappeared is because of loyal readers — so thanks! If you haven’t yet added Domain Name Wire to your RSS reader, see the feed links to the left. You can also sign up for the Domain Name Wire newsletter by submitting your email in the box in the left hand column.
To celebrate this milestone, I’m giving away a $100 credit to the registrar of your choice to one lucky reader. Here’s what you have to do to be eligible:
1. Sign up for the newsletter if you haven’t already (submit email address in the box in the left hand column).
2. Post a comment below listing the title of the one Domain Name Wire article published so far this year that you think has received the most views.
Please, just post the title of the article, not the entire URL because that messes up the layout of the page.
If more than one person picks the correct article then one winner will be randomly selected. Contest ends Friday.

@ MSN – which article do you think received the most views?
Per says
Ok, here we go.
My bet for most read/showed article this ar would be: “Moniker Auction Nets $4.4 Million, SkiResorts.com sells for $850,000”
🙂

Great job with this site.
My guess is: Will Recession Hit Domains?
Andrew says
Thanks everyone, including Ron for trailblazing.
I forgot to thank one group: my advertisers. So thanks, wherever you are…

Who has come and gone ?
Andrew says
@ Adam, I don’t remember most of them. But two that come to mind are DomainRookie and Daily Domainer. DD occasionally posts now.
As you know, this is a lot of work. I think a lot of people throw up a blog thinking it will be easy, and people will start knocking on your door from day one…which simply isn’t how it works.
Andrew says
Congratulations SS! You picked the correct article, “Network Solutions Faces PR Nightmare Over Domain FrontRunning”. I just sent an email to you.
