Domain aftermarket Afternic has completed a number of big transactions over the past week, including ManHunt.com for $72,222.
The ManHunt.com sale represents one of Afternic’s biggest transactions in 2007. The whois record for ManHunt.com shows Domain Capital, the domain name financing company. This means the company is either financing the transaction or it purchased the domain.
Although ManHunt.com is the big story, Afternic completed a number of other big sales. Mooch.com sold for $20,000 and currently has a “coming soon” page with Register.com. A three character domain, VFG.com, sold for $17,000. An auction for Diver.com ends Wednesday and currently has a bid of $25,000. ForeclosureProperty.com has a $5,000 bid and closes on Thursday.
Sedo has a number of notable auctions ending soon too. Villa.de has met its reserve with a $19,000 bid. 3000.com snagged a $12,000 offer, Anglage.de is at 5,200 EUR, InCity.com is going for $5,000 with just shy of three days left, 2008election.com has one offer at $4,600, FLV.com is at $12,000 with one offer, and s8.com is at $10,000.
It looks like this will be another great week for domain name sales.
