Sedo’s new auction format shows the number of domains the company sells to the international community.
Everyone knows that Sedo is the major player for domains sold outside the United States. Afterall, the company is based in Europe. Just this year it has made headlines with sales like Hotels.eu for €257,000, Shopping.eu for €153,500, Cancha.com (a Spanish-language domain) for €54,075, and Städtereisen.de for €50,000.
But the company’s new auction feature shows just how many domains it is selling that are either in foreign languages or on country code domains. If you take a look at auctions ending in the next 24 hours you’ll see a number of non-English .coms and country code domains:

But competitors aren’t just sitting by. Afternic recently announced a new German version of its site, with other international versions to follow.
