6 domains close at Afternic today, and a bunch more close tomorrow. Are any of them good values?
Afternic’s “Closing Soon” category is sometimes short on domains, but today is an exception. 6 domains will be sold to the highest bidder today and another 4 will close tomorrow. Should you consider buying any of these domains?
ZQX.com – The high bid right now is $2,310. OK, it’s not the best three letter .com domain, but it’s probably worth a bit more than its current price. The first bid on this domain was 2/28 for $1,470 — that was 11 bids ago.
WowFlicks.com – This one has branding potential and it’s sitting at $85 right now.
SetFast.com – At $1,000, this is probably better for someone with a specific use, such as fast-setting concrete.
WebPurse.com – I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one get a couple more bids to close above its current $200 price tag. The opportunities are limitless for a single sign-on web payment system, get-paid-to site, etc.
FreshFruitStand.com – Currently sitting at $1,200, this is a great domain. I’m not sure I’d buy it for resale though.
BostonDigs.com – This domain could refer to The Big Dig or to homes in Boston. The highest bid is $500.
GoandPlay.com – It’s a common phrase that would be good for a kids toy or fitness site. It has one bid for $100.
DomainBug.com – A decent name for a domain registrar or sales site, but I don’t expect this to fetch more than its current $200.
Labeled.com – Take a close look at Labeled.com, currently fetching $800. “Label” fetches about $1.70 per click on Yahoo.
Hargrove – This is a common last name and the name of several businesses. It has one bid for $2,000.
Some of these domains hold great value — see complete details at Afternic.
