Web presence company reports strong growth in Q3.
Squarespace (NYSE:SQSP) reported Q3 earnings after the market closed yesterday.
The website platform reported $201.0 million in revenue, up 24% year over year. That’s down from 31% growth in Q2, although the third quarter last year was a high benchmark for web presence services given the rush online as the pandemic began.
Squarespace reports that it now has 4.0 million unique subscriptions, up from 3.9 million last quarter. This doesn’t represent the total number of sites; customers with a standalone scheduling subscription, social service, or hospitality account are included in the numbers even if they don’t have a website.
Both net income and Squarespace’s adjusted EBITDA numbers were down year over year.
Looking forward to Q4, Squarespace expects $203 to $206 million, bringing its yearly total to $780-$783 million.
Shares were up in after-hours trading.
