Few companies are using .BlackFriday domain names.
It’s hard to believe that Black Friday is just a couple weeks away.
One of the more interesting new top level domain names is .BlackFriday. It’s interesting because it refers to just a single day of the year. Will people build sites on top level domain names with a such a specific, time-constrained use? Even if it’s a huge e-commerce term?
Google has indexed about 50,000 .blackfriday pages. Once you get to about page 9, most of the indexed pages are three letter domain names owned by North Sound Names, which is affiliated with the registry. There are about 12,000 domain names in the zone file.
Here are some of the companies I found using .blackfriday domain names, although all are forwarded:
Hertz.blackfriday – forwards to 2014 Cyber Holiday Sale
Shopify.blackfriday – forwards to page about Black Friday on Shopify site
Target.blackfriday – forwards to Target.com
Amazon.blackfriday – forwards to Black Friday Deals Week on Amazon.com
Perhaps the “best use” of a .BlackFriday domain name I could find was Protests.Blackfriday, a domain name used by trade union group to promote protesting at Walmart stores on Black Friday.

We think this name is going to grow exponentially over time. Nobody let’s their .blackfriday domain expire on Thanksgiving. Enjoy!~

“Nobody let’s their .blackfriday domain expire on Thanksgiving”
That is an appealing aspect to this type of domain name.

Frank is right. Take Singles Day, a similar one day sale in China. This year it will be $12 billion in ONE day online up from $9 billion last year. The only way to go is up. Plus now Cyber Monday will also happen on Black Friday. ref:

Might be used in short-term promotions to redirect to some URL of an established site. For branding, however, it will seem irrelevant during 99% of the year.
