AOL was among the companies buying domain names in the aftermarket last week.
Sedo had a great sales week last week, handling $1.7 million of domain name sales on 688 transactions.
End users were a big reason for this solid sales week. An Austin company led the public charts with its $100,000 purchase of Material.com. AOL also bought a domain name…for only $700. Even a .taxi domain name was among the 29 end user domain name sales I uncovered.
Here’s a look at end user domain name sales from the past week on Sedo:
(You can view previous lists like this here. If you’d like to learn how to sell your domain names like these on Sedo, download this report.)
Material.com $100,000 – Austin, Texas online store service provider Volusion recently filed a trademark for Material. Based on the field of use, it’s possible the company is rebranding to Material.
DiscountForkLift.com $11,775 – Discount Forklift Parts, Inc. in Miami.
Confidential.co.uk £3,000 – UK company Confidential Direct owns the website ManchesterConfidential.co.uk
Huts.co.uk £1,300 – UK real estate seller Emoov Limited. Are they going to rebrand?
Devils.tv $10,000 – A CSC client bought this domain name, but the whois hasn’t been updated.
Wonderwall.co.uk £1,000 – Wallwik Ltd sells wall murals and paintings.
IQOption.co.uk $799 – IQOption Europe is a trading platform offering binary options.
FraudStar.com $1,695 – Emergent Network Intelligence Ltd. sells fraud detection software called FraudStar.
Bid.taxi €2,000 – Cab Master is getting ready to launch Bid.taxi, a way to connect taxi drivers and riders through apps.

Enflux.com $4,995 – Enflux connects brands to Chinese social influencers. It uses the domain name EnfluxSocial.com.
BitExpress.com $2,500 – the domain name is registered to an individual, but the email address suggests he owns a company called BitExpress LLC.
IntoAutos.com $700 – AOL bought this domain name, presumably for a new car website. It currently resolves to a simple search page with In2Autos branding. They don’t own In2Autos.com or In2Auto.com, and why they didn’t spend an extra couple grand to by IntoAuto.com (singular) from HugeDomains is beyond me.
PaintSlinger.com $2,000 – Paint Sundries Solutions sells painting supplies. I can only wonder what a paint slinger is.
Mabel.com $17,000 – I’m not sure why an auto dealer is in the whois, but the coming soon page suggests this will be a clothing line.
Enlibrium.com $950 – COI Pharmaceuticals bought the domain name. I can’t find anything with this name, but I suspect it’s the name of a new drug.
Digicollect.com €750 – Digicollect offers data intelligence systems.
OPTD.com €1,001 – The buyer, based in Turkey, is called .OPTDCOM .Teknoloji. I can’t find anything about the company.
VisionDirect.co.in £1,000 – Online contact lens seller Vision Direct.
MikeMorales.com $777 – This one is kind of interesting. It was obviously bought by someone with this name, but it appears he’s also using Tucows’ RealNames service to use an @Morales.com email address.
TheWhitfield.com $2,295 – Gaslight Property in Cincinnati owns some properties on Whitfield Ave., so I assume this is for an apartment complex.
HindujaBrothers.com $4,999 – This is a business group that owns HindujaGroup.com.
