An executive linked to Domain registrar and portfolio owner LiveDoor, under investigation by Japanese authorities, was found dead.
The LiveDoor case is starting to look more and more like the fallout from Enron, although LiveDoor’s businesses aren’t shams.
LiveDoor owns an ICANN-accredited domain registrar. Last year it purchased the ClickDario network of domain names, including Spanish-language domains such as Deportes.com (Sports), Salud.com (Health), Mujer.com (Women), Mascotas.com (Pets), Boletines.com (Newsletters), Dietas.com (Diets), and Tarjetas.com (Greeting Cards).
The investigation at LiveDoor is partially to blame for the 6% plunge in the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Tuesday and Wednesday.
