More domains registered…by the registry’s executive director.
Last month I wrote about the .rich top level domain name, which had a mere 22 domain names in its zone file. (It was actually just 21 because I counted a registry domain.)
After ICANN’s long hiatus of publishing zone files last week I was surprised to see the .rich zone file up to 36 domain names. At about $2,000 a pop retail, that would be a nice pick up.
Domains such as born.rich, howtobe.rich, strinking.rich and f@cking.rich were all registered since my original story.
I ran some whois checks to see who was registering .rich domain names and found that one person was behind all 15 of the registrations. That must be one rich person!
Alas, they were all registered by Anschelika Smoljar, who is the executive director of the .rich registry.
It doesn’t appear that anyone is getting rich with .rich right now.

It’s much expensive so it will be inactive in the market.

Gtlds across the board are basically self destructing, the registries don’t get marketing in an open marketplace. The gtlds are to closed, and constrained for anyone to look any further than .com
As for .rich ceo spending or buying these names, only makes talk for people glued to the industry, real user applicators could care less, and will scoff at the reg fee, and buy a premium .com in multiple.
I understand truth hurts, but it is the truth.
