Chris Chena, known for some major domain name purchases, paid $150k last week to pick up Vuelos.com, according to DNJournal. Vuelos means “flights” in Spanish. Another big non-english sale was Medikamente.de, which sold for €50,000 at Sedo.
It was a big week for expiring domain sales as well. Keep in mind that someone let these gems expire, giving up a huge payday. VegasRealEstate.com went for a shocking $53,611 at Snapnames. Enom’s Club Drop (which recently increased minimum bids) auctioned off lottery.net for $40,000. Snapnames also sold WebMeds.com for $16,700 and CarForum.com for $15,750.
As for new TLDs, Degrees.info sold for $3,800. Ice.info sold for only $499, which seems like a steal to me.
