Shell buys a .IN, liquor company buys a .club.
Shell Oil is among the big companies that bought domain names last week at Sedo.
Chat.fr and Chat.de 99,999 EUR and 65,000 EUR – I’m not sure if I should clasify these as under user purchases because the buyer is domain investor Xedoc. However, I imagine the domains were purchased with a website plan in mind.
Faculty.co.uk 999 GBP – A company in London called Faculty Design.
VSV.ch 980 EUR – (Verband des Schweizerischen Versandhandels), a Swiss mail order/e-commerce company. This domain sure beat vsv-versandhandel.ch!
Secura.at 799 EUR – Secura GmbH, a liability insurance company.
Havana.club $8,000 – Liquor company Pernod Ricard, which sells the Havana Club brand of rum.
CornishGems.co.uk $1,750 – UK vacation home company Cornish Gems Ltd. It forwards this domain name to CornishGems.com.
CharityBank.com – $1,249 UK Charity Bank, which operates at CharityBank.org.
TTCO.net $1,900 – Mexican telecom company Transtelco.
CoBrowser.com $6,600 – Live chat and support company CoBrowser.net BV, which obviously owns the matching .net domain name.
Shell.in $1,500 – Oil company Shell.
TeamTrust.com $8,000 – the domain name is registered to Team Trust, LLC, but the email address is for StatDoc, an emergency medicine consulting firm. They appear to be owned by the same person.
PeakDesign.com $8,895 – Peak Design, a San Francisco camera accessories company. It upgraded its domain name from PeakDesignLTD.com.
WindscreenWipers.com 800 GBP – Wiper Blades Ltd, which operates the only store WiperBlades.co.uk.
PKMM.com $2,000 – Government services supplier PKMM Incorporated. This domain name is a nice improvement over PKMMinc.com.
