Company reports over $600,000 in premium revenue last quarter.
Many new top level domain name companies are following a business practice popularized by .TV: selling domain names that come with an annual premium fee.
Radix, which runs domain names such as .online and .store, just released data on its premium sales and renewals in Q3.
Here are some interesting data points for the third quarter:
- 406 premium domains were registered or renewed, representing $608,000 in revenue.
- 220 of these were new registration representing $366,000, the 186 renewals were for $242,000.
- Online was the biggest by far for premiums, with 38% of the revenue. .Store is next at 20%. .Store had the highest average premium price.
