ICANN90 will take place in South Australia.
ICANN announced this week that it has chosen Adelaide, Australia, as the location for its 2027 Annual General Meeting. The event will take place October 30-November 4, 2027, at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, one of the country’s six territories. The Adelaide area has about 1.5 million residents. It’s about a two-hour flight from Sydney.
This is the third time ICANN has held a meeting in Australia. It went to Melbourne for ICANN08 in 2001, and ICANN35 was held in Sydney in 2009.
The timing could create a conflict for NamesCon, which is usually held in early November.
ICANN’s 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held in Bali next month.

I hear they are considering Atlantis, Shangri-La, El Dorado, and the Moon for the next AGM.
Ha! At least there’s Portugal and Vancouver next year
Six states, one Territory. This is the one with the half-hour timezone.
Thanks for clarifying. Claude led me astray on that one
